Where the Good News of Jesus Christ… Intersects with the Soul of Man!

Where Is Jesus Today?

It is important to understand that though Christ died, bearing the punishment for our sin, and was buried, He did not remain in the grave. The Bible teaches that after three days, as Jesus promised, He rose from the dead; “…He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them (His apostles) during forty days…” Acts 1:3a

By His resurrection, Christ demonstrated His power and victory over sin and death. Christ’s resurrection also assures that all men will one day give an account to Him, who is exalted as Lord and Judge; “…He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:31

Acts 1 goes on to tell us that following Christ’s resurrection: “…He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.’” Acts 1:9b-11

Jesus had previously explained to His disciples; “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself that where I am you may be also.” John 14:2&3

At this same time, Jesus told His disciples something else that was very important. This leads us to our next question.
